Hello dolls! Today was the first Sunday of Lent (My Catholic Dolls will understand). I hope you went to church to spend time with God. It is very important. Today is also my second Sunday in the Sunday Series and I will be talking on the benefits of the Lenten Season. For those of you that don't know Lenten Season is a 40 day period of preparation for Easter. It is one of the major Liturgical seasons in the Catholic Church. It is a penitential season marked by prayer, fasting and abstinence and almsgiving. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. During this period Christians are asked to mediate and examine their lifestyles to know if the live their lives according to the laws and teachings of God through the church.

One of the benefits of Lent is; it makes you beautiful. I know you will be wondering how lent makes you beautiful. The prayer makes you beautiful. Catholics believe that the body and soul are one, and that means when you unite with God in prayer you can be beautiful. I will use Mother Theresa as an example. The physical features of Mother Theresa didn't define her. What defined her was the form given by her spirit. There is no one more attractive than someone who has turned their body into a vessel for a beautiful spirit.

Catholics know this phenomenon is not confined to Mother Teresa. If you pray and really connect with Jesus Christ you can get the same wisdom and innocence which true christians get from HIM.

Happy New Month dolls! It is the month of love, *winks*. So what are you plans for Valentine's Day. I know most of you lovebirds will have an indoor affair (especially lovebirds that stay in Abuja), because 14th February is general election day. A lot of people are relocating to other places due to fear of the outcome. Well that aside, today is the beginning of great things in our lives.

I promised a lot of new things on the blog, so in that effect, I have started the Sunday Series. It will feature my Sunday OOTD. I know I have done a lot of Sunday OOTD but the Sunday Series will feature my OOTD and a little inspirational talk on any topic. So my first topic is 'The Grace of God'

I won't go into the whole narrative of what the grace of God means, I believe as religious we should have an understanding of the Grace of God. As human beings we tend to have our different context of God's grace in our lives. I believe that for me to see this beautiful day is due to the grace of God. I always tell my friends and family I am a living proof of the Grace of God. Well, I have that belief because He has given me more that I deserve, He has given the human race more than we deserve. Each and every one of us is enjoying the abundant grace of God.

There are certain rules in fashion that are inarguable; when you see three of a certain attire on the runway it is safe to call it a trend. Much like floral prints, the gingham pattern is one of those trends that give your outfit an instant seasonal update. Whether it comes in the form of the button-down shirt or a pleated frock, there is always a place for gingham.

Despite a certain retro appeal, the gingham pattern enjoyed a major come back on the spring runways. From Bottega Veneta's gauzy dresses with softly shorn edges and haphazard sheer to Micheal Kors' pretty A-line halter dress in Kelly green as well as a crinkled skirt and swingy jacket set, which was an earnest interpretation of the pattern from a designer so quintessentially American. But Joseph Altuzzarra stole the show with 10 looks in the delicate check, including a button down and pencil skirt that was modeled by Anna Ewers

Hello dolls! My blog was a year old on Monday and due to some Network issues I could not put up a post. So this is a late post. I started this blog on the 12th of January, 2014. It has been an amazing year. I have learnt a lot and looking back I have released my mistakes and this year I will try to be a better blogger and focus more on the important things.

In the spirit of the New year, I will like to change a lot on the blog. I will also like to add some more features.

Firstly, I promise to blog more frequently and improve on my content. It is a fashion blog and it has to feel and look like one. *winks*. I also promise to put up better and clearer pictures. I have gotten a better and clearer camera.

I would be doing a designer feature every month, this is to support upcoming fashion designers and help to promote their brands and in the same light promote my blog. I am going to do features on photographers, MUAs and other bloggers I like and I think I can relate with and work with.

This is my first post of 2015! Happy new year dolls. I hope you ushered in the new year with friends and family.

I know a lot of you have put my some new year resolutions. I hope you keep to them. I don't make new resolution, because in the past I did and dropped them off first quarter of the year *covers face*.

So instead of resolutions, I made a list of goals I want to achieve this year and I hope with hard work I will accomplish them all.
